About Our Temple
ISKCON ADELAIDE was the very first Hindu Temple in South Australia. Our first temple was started in 1975 on Frome Street in the city. We moved around between Eynesbury House, Henley Beach Rd and Hindley street before purchasing our own property at 25 Lehunte Street Kilburn in 2000.
ISKCON Adelaide’s primary focus is on engagingpeople on yoga, vegetarianism, meditation etc to lead a life of fulfilment. For over 20 years we have been distributing over 10,000 free meals in the city to the homeless and over 10,000 meals in the temple to people of all walksof life.
We want to expand our yoga classes (free to anyone) and our free meals in Kilburn, hence the need for a larger hall for yoga and also 2nd kitchen.
